Registration is now open for the international conference Europe and Mobilities: Challenges and Opportunities for Socio-Economic Transformations, which will take place from June 4–6, 2025, at the University of Warsaw. The event, organized under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will feature two sessions co-organised by the National Science Centre coordinating the CHANSE programme and Social Transformations and Resilence Partnership (STR).
The conference program includes expert lectures and seven thematic sessions covering topics such as demography, migration, digital and energy transitions, and the future of democracy. One of the sessions, organized within the CHANSE programme, will focus on inclusivity, public good, equality, and sovereignty in building digital infrastructure. Participants will also examine how algorithmic systems and digital platforms affect everyday life, and the roles of regulators, companies, and institutions in shaping these processes.
The conference will feature contributions from both academic and non-academic stakeholders, including representatives of two CHANSE-funded projects— PSM-AP: Public Service Media in the Age of Platforms and TIMED: TIMe experience in Europe’s Digital age. During the session, the foundations of the future Social Transformations and Resilience Partnership will also be discussed.
The second session will address the challenges and opportunities for early career researchers involved in transnational projects, covering topics like research funding, career paths, and the support provided by mentors and institutions.
Both sessions aim to foster collaboration and discussion around key socio-economic transformations facing Europe today.
