The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), on behalf of the Humanities in the European Research Area (HERA) Network, has just announced a funding opportunity to appoint a Knowledge Exchange Facilitator (KEF). The KEF will lead efforts to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange within the HERA & CHANSE Crisis joint research programme.

With a substantial fund of £625,000, the grant offers an award ranging from £400,000 to £500,000. Prospective applicants must hold a PhD (or its equivalent), demonstrate familiarity with the European knowledge exchange landscape, and be affiliated with an established research organisation. The fixed duration of the award is three and a half years, with the project expected to commence by 6 January 2025.

The AHRC seeks candidates with prior experience in transnational research projects, ideally revolving around the theme of Crisis, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of the European knowledge exchange practices. Vital attributes include adept networking capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, and proven leadership acumen, along with a commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Funding provisions include the KEF salary, supporting staff, travel expenses, subsistence allowances, and event coordination costs. Applicants are encouraged to propose a funding distribution plan tailored to optimally meet the opportunity’s objectives. The deadline for submissions is 9 July 2024, 4:00 pm UK time.
