Candidate Partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience at the CHANSE Final Conference

During the final conference of the CHANSE programme that took place on 8–9 September in Krakow, Jeanne Lenders, Policy Officer at the European Commission, DG Employment, presented a new partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience.

The announcement highlighted the Commission’s commitment to fostering research collaboration that addresses pressing societal challenges across Europe.

Following the conference, on 10 September, at the NCN headquarters, the CHANSE Steering Group hosted a workshop led by the Coordination Team of the STAR Candidate Partnership.

The workshop featured two interactive sessions:

  1. CHANSE Agora: Supporting Researcher Collaboration and Engagement – this session explored the challenges and opportunities faced by researchers from Widening and non-Widening countries in international projects, with a particular focus on their experiences of working with non-academic stakeholders.
  1. Leadership and Engagement in European Partnerships: Coordination Roles and Additional Activities – Participants discussed how European partnerships can strengthen leadership, coordination, and cross-sectoral engagement.

The workshop gathered representatives of CHANSE funding organisations, project consortia, the CHANSE Knowledge Exchange Facilitator, the Coordination Team of the candidate partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience, as well as invited experts.

Together, these discussions provided valuable insights into building stronger, more inclusive, and resilient European research collaborations.
